Totally Topaz: November Birthstone Vol. 2

November babies don’t just get to enjoy the sunny hues of citrine. They can also opt for topaz, a gemstone that is sure to capture your heart and deliver lots of sparkle without putting too much of a dent in your pocket.

A gemstone which is available in an array of colours including colourless, light blue, yellow, orange, pink violet and brown, the word topaz might have come from the word tapas in Sanskrit, which means fire. For centuries many people in India have belived that topaz worn above the heart assures long life, beauty and intelligence while ancient Greeks believed that topaz gave them strength.

hand picked one of a kind gems - I can do a gem search as part of the bespoke jewellery design service

Whether you would like a variation of an existing design, something completely unique or indeed you have an heirloom piece that you would like to be given a new incarnation (or a new lease of life!), I love working on bespoke pieces or customisations.

I have a number of unique topaz gemstones in my vault that are one of a kind. Some are one-offs that I picked up at my gem dealer after I had been eyeing them up for ages and in the end I had to have them, or because they are freeform rose cut stones that are each a unique organic shape.

If you are interested in commissioning a unique piece please get in touch and we can discuss possibilities. I love the collaborative process with my clients and you don’t have to get a second mortgage to get one of my pieces - I can work to your budget.
