Totally Topaz: November Birthstone Vol. 2

November babies don’t just get to enjoy the sunny hues of citrine. They can also opt for topaz, a gemstone that is sure to capture your heart and deliver lots of sparkle without putting too much of a dent in your pocket.

A gemstone which is available in an array of colours including colourless, light blue, yellow, orange, pink violet and brown, the word topaz might have come from the word tapas in Sanskrit, which means fire. For centuries many people in India have belived that topaz worn above the heart assures long life, beauty and intelligence while ancient Greeks believed that topaz gave them strength.
