A unique engagement solitaire featuring a freeform rose cut Ceylon sapphire on a 9 carat rose gold band.
Cast from a real twig, this ring is one-of-a-kind, as each rose cut sapphire has a unique organic shape. You may also order this design in yellow or white gold. If you are considering the option of 18 carat gold or platinum, please get in touch with me and I can arrange for a specific quote for you.
The beauty of rose cut stones is that they glow and change intensity of colour dramatically as you move the stone. It looks different from every angle, giving you endless opportunities for fascination!
Each ring is made bespoke, to order. The production process involves casting of the twig in your choice of metal, followed by production of a bespoke claw setting to hold the stone. The stone is then set by my stone setter based in the Goldsmiths Centre in London. Finally the ring is polished and hallmarked by the London Assay Office. You should allow 4 working weeks from date of order to dispatch of the ring. If you are in a particular hurry, please contact me and I will try to speed up the production process.
Why this ring is Unique - the rose cut stone is a freeform shape, and one of a kind. In addition, the shape of the gold band is my original design, so unlike commercially manufactured jewellery, even designer/fine jewellery, which can be copied, this is a truly unique ring that nobody else will have. If you chose this ring as an engagement ring, this would be a lovely way to show your loved one that she is the one for you and the love of your life.
The story of Twig - a former landscape architect, I spend a lot of my time staring at trees, branches, twigs, leaves and seed pods. This obsession lead me to experiment with getting different parts of plants cast in precious metals. I work on each piece, filing, sanding, and hand polishing, to a very high luster, until the piece bears very little resemblance to how it was created in nature. It is an idealised representation of nature. That said, I find that nature has such a wonderful way of creating patterns, undulations and bud formations that I am compelled to highlight these in the jewelry I make.
Sizing - the dropdown menu lists UK sizing but I am able to convert to all international ring sizing - US, Hong Kong, Japanese, German or Swiss sizing. Just leave a note at checkout with size and country scale.
If you are not sure what size you should be ordering, I have a handy ring sizing chart which I can email to you. You just need to print it off to use. It is quite accurate and a very handy guide - you can measure against existing rings that you may have, or cut off the measuring strip to wrap around your finger. Don't forget, I'm always happy to advise you in person if you have any particular questions about choosing a ring size. Just email me at brandts@hotmail.co.uk or call me on (+44) 7770 918 452.
