The freeform rose cut sapphires chosen to adorn these cherry twig rings are all one-offs, making this a truly one of a kind ring. Whether you choose it as an alternative engagement ring or something to adorn your hand everyday (because you're worth it!), this ring will stand out as a truly distinct piece of luxury. As you move the ring the sapphire will sparkle and show up different shades of its colour to you, giving you endless possibilities to admire it on your finger from different angles.
Available in 18 carat yellow, rose or white gold. The plum sapphire in the main photo is sold, but you can choose from other sapphires in my hoard, or I can bring you a fresh selection from my gem dealer - just drop me a line to discuss.
The ring is completely handmade and hallmarked in London and is cast from 100% recycled gold. Ceylon (or Sri Lanka sapphires) are a great option if you care about sustainability and other ethical issues related to the jewellery and mining businesses. Sri Lanka is well known for its reserves of beautifully coloured sapphires, but more than this, it is a country where the mines are all small scale and artisanal, using traditional mining methods which are much less disruptive to the surrounding areas whilst providing safe working practices. In addition, the gems are cut in Sri Lanka before they can be exported, ensuring that the local gem cutters can benefit from the activity, retaining as much financial reward as possible within the local economy.
Each ring is made to order, so please allow up to 4 working weeks for the ring to be ready for dispatch. If you are in a particular hurry, please contact me and I can let you know if the process can be speeded up.
